Afc Wulfrunians are delighted to announce Carl Abbott has been appointed the new First Team Manager. Carl will be assisted by his long-term right-hand man Paul Tomo Tomlinson

There were several high-quality managers interested in the role, and we analysed them all before we unanimously came to the decision that Carl was the outstanding candidate and the perfect fit for us, We feel that the positive attitude towards our football club from Carl and his desire to be successful and build something special was evident from our first meeting”. Carl will take charge after tomorrow’s game away at Highgate Utd fc he said "Myself and Paul are over the moon to be taking on this challenge. Of the opportunities which have quickly become available to us, once the Directors at Wulfrunians had made it known to us that they had an interest in obtaining our services, it was the standout choice to quickly get back in the dugout as we wished to. The opportunity to come back closer to home after many years of travelling, coupled with the infrastructure at the club, the incredible facilities, and the clear understanding of the Directors of what is achievable both now and across a period of time - What is required to be successful, and is realistic to be successful - not only at this level, but also moving forwards and planning for sustainability at a better level was so refreshing. We are excited to get started and look forward to meeting the players and getting to work next week”.
