AFC Wulfrunians welcomed Brackley Town to Danescourt Road for the latest MJPL fixture. Brackley were Wulfs first opponents of the season back in September that saw Wulfs run out comfortable winners and with Brackley still struggling for results at the foot of the table Wulfs were hoping for a similar performance in the reverse fixture.
Wulfs got at Brackley from the off with the game being played completely in Brackley’s half. Brackley had men behind the ball and were difficult to break down but once Jordan Crump netted the opener the goals began to come. Crump supplied Lawson Taylor to make it 2-0 before James Debney set Lowe on his way as he beat three players and drilled home Wulfs third 3-0. Crump grabbed his second courtesy of a Josh Cooke assist making it 4-0, James Debney then smashed home from close range to make it 5-0. Wulfs wrapped up a 6-0 half time score line with Sol Shahar’s second goal in two games.
Despite the score line it had been a disjointed first half display by Wulfs, a performance that was much improved in the second period. Crump netted his hatrick from a Ben Moore cross before roles were reserved as Moore finished Crumps assist. Owen Wright-Tennant put his name in the assists column as he supplied Crump for his fourth and Wulfs ninth 9-0. James Hale got a rare outing as he changed from Green to Red, from keeper to striker and he didn’t disappoint as he was twice on the end of Ben Moore balls to complete an 11-0 victory.
