Ryan on fire for U18’s

Wulfs started brightly and took the lead after just four minutes when Webb’s corner from the right found Haynes who shot in off the underside of the bar.


Dynamo should have equalised immediately but Price’s effort was blocked twice by Ryan.


Dynamo took a hold on the game but created little when on 27 minutes Wulfs extended their lead very much against the run of play as Bright’s long through ball found Webb who rounded the keeper and slotted home.


Wulfs continued to be a threat on the break and Brookes had a goal disallowed before Purdie found Webb whose deep cross found Bright who headed in at the far post to make it 3-0.


Again Dynamo should have hit back immediately but Price, clean through, hit the post with Ryan beaten.


Next, a long ball was missed by Haynes but Ryan again saved from the onrushing Dale.


The second half started in the same vein with Dale’s shot well saved again by Ryan.


Dynamo certainly upped the tempo but Ryan made another two excellent saves to deny Price before a Wulfs break on 66 minutes saw Wilkinson’s shot well saved.


Marsh replaced Whatton and almost scored with his first touch when a corner was cleared and he shot just over from 25 yards.


Dynamo pressed hard for a consolation but were denied time and time again by the excellent Ryan.


Two minutes from time a fine Wulfs move down the right by Webb and Marsh found Turner whose goal bound shot was turned over by keeper Stanley.


Ryan had time to cement his man of the match performance with another fine save from the luckless Price as Wulfs ran out 3-0 winners.
